This module will introduce students to sports management and builds on theories and ideas touched on in the first year module, allowing the students to explore them in more detail. It will explore the place of sport in society and the development of sport, over time. Throughout this module the notions of cultural sensitivity and thus diversity, equality and social sustainability will be of importance. In addition to this, students will be encouraged to think about topics such as ethics and environmental sustainability in direct relational to sports management. On successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:" Critically analyse theory and methodology which underpins Sports Management.
