How can I remotely control WORKGROUP computers in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager ?
What I found on that server was in the Configuration Manager in the Control Panel, all tabs show blank white windows, even thought it used to have the same information in it as the other servers that aren't having the issue. When I click on the Site tab and click on Find Site, it successfully finds my Primary Site Server and I get a message that Configuration Manager has successfully found a site to manage this client, but when I click Apply, I get an error message that Failed to update site assignment and the site code stays empty.
Since this server was being retired soon, I removed the client and tried to push it again. Well, since I removed the client, no matter what I do I cannot get the client to reinstall again.
I checked the 64 bit Windows Server and it exhibits the exact same issues - the Configuration Manager is blank and I cannot update the site assignment or anything else. I have attempted to push the client to that server again as well but it doesn't install or fix any issues. I am hoping someone has an idea that I haven't tried yet. Even with that, I cannot get the Configuration Manager to populate with any information.
I don't know what else to try. This last weekend, I came in off hours to do Windows Updates on this server manually. This fixed the issues I was having with the software I had issues with after the reboot but my Configuration Manager was still blank at that time.
When I came in this morning, I thought I'd check it just to see if anything changed. Why it worked on this server and not the other one that is close to retirement is beyond me.

Investigating the issues surrounding creating and capturing value work is a central issue for HR and its major stakeholders both inside and outside of organisations. There are however a number of questions regarding the tension between value creation and capture, and how management practices can be designed to reduce the impact of value-destructive practices.

What Is Value Capture?
If you practice portfolio management throughout your organization, this process helps to ensure that only the most valuable work is approved and managed across the entire enterprise. If you practice portfolio management at a departmental level, it will provide the same function at this lower level. Department leaders that do not understand how their budgets are spent, and who cannot validate that the work being funded is the most important, will find themselves under greater scrutiny and second-guessing in the future. Portfolio management can help your department answer some of the most basic, yet difficult, questions regarding work performed and value provided. Example : You have a chance to answer simple questions such as the following. Are your resources allocated to the most important work?
Ever since BCG introduced the growth share matrix, in the s, executives have understood that portfolio management is a critical component of any strategy for superior value creation. As more and more companies must justify the value creation logic of their business portfolios in response to pressure from activist investors, portfolio management is more important than ever. Partly in response to such pressure, spinoffs have become one of the most popular strategic moves in the increasingly active market for corporate transactions. And yet, despite the growing importance of portfolio strategy , it is striking how many large multibusiness companies do not have a systematic one. That is, they do not have a deliberate approach for determining what businesses they should and should not own, why their portfolio of businesses is worth more under common management than the sum of the individual businesses, and how to optimize the value the businesses generate for shareholders. They focus on being good operators of the current portfolio—running those businesses, making them better, and meeting plan—rather than savvy investors of corporate assets. It is an understandable mindset, but it comes with a major strategic risk. Without a strategic portfolio roadmap, executives are not as prepared as they should be to create strong and sustainable TSR for their investors or to react quickly and responsibly to shocks in the business environment.

Lean Portfolio Management
There are nine rules that all CIOs should follow as they craft and articulate their business value stories.
Gauging—and communicating—what your products and services are worth to customers has never been more important. How do you define value? What are your products and services actually worth to customers? Remarkably few suppliers in business markets are able to answer those questions. Customers—especially those whose costs are driven by what they purchase—increasingly look to purchasing as a way to increase profits and therefore pressure suppliers to reduce prices. To persuade customers to focus on total costs rather than simply on acquisition price, a supplier must have an accurate understanding of what its customers value, and would value.
