The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Environment, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), and P. I. B Global Services, hosted a National Dialogue on June 20th.
The objective of this event was to establish a forum for stakeholders to participate in productive dialogues and present practical solutions for tackling land degradation. Additionally, it aimed to raise awareness, foster meaningful conversations, and suggest recommendations to promote gender equality in land ownership and governance. This involved acknowledging women as key stakeholders in sustainable land management, critical to combating land degradation and attaining environmental resilience. #HerLandHerRights
