Why the CFTC Can't Save Gold and Silver from Manipulation

Published
In part 2 of our series on the regulation of the commodities markets, and #gold and #silver in particular, we begin to focus on the structural and process deficiencies the regulator (#CFTC) has in detecting and evidencing market manipulation.

This video will show how there have been many improvements made to the process over the years, but it will also show where the process, and in particular the investigations begin, are lacking enough robustness to deal with the traders.

In particular, we find it somewhat disturbing that the CFTC does not seem to be joined with the DOJ and other agencies in rooting out particular types of manipulative practices that have been admitted to by traders and resulting in legal action and/or fines of some major bullion banks trading on the market.

Stay tuned to part 3, the final part, in this series investigating the reasons why the US cannot stop #commodity market #manipulation.
