What’s the hardest part about living with rheumatoid arthritis, and what can we do about it?

I’m excited to host a free webinar on Wednesday, August 28th: Three Ways to Manage Stress and Thrive with Chronic Illness!

Comment “Webinar” to register, or go to bit.ly/chronic24

This won’t be your average “just take a deep breath to manage stress” talk…I’ll be delving into how to cope with the deep, uncomfortable questions that confront many of us living with chronic illnesses, like:

– Can I live a full life even *with* pain and chronic illness?

–What if it never gets better?

-How am I supposed to *relax* when my body is attacking myself and I also know that stress is “bad” for inflammation so now i”m stressed ABOUT being stressed?!

-Do I need to wait until my disease is perfectly controlled before living a life I love?

I’ll also be delving into the different types of chronic illness stress, including:

-social stress (friends and family not understanding, difficulties with dating and relationships, and more)

-Cognitive stress (mental overload from trying to sort through ALL the information about your condition, tracking symptom overwhelm and more)

-Emotional stress (processing sadness, grief and/or anxiety about your condition, emotional responses to pain and more)

After exploring why generic “stress reduction techniques” don’t always apply to chronic, fluctuating conditions like rheumatoid arthritis (RA), I’ll share the exact process that I follow to manage stress while living with RA.

This is informed by over twenty years of living with RA, plus evidence based tips from my expertise as an occupational therapist.

Here are the details!
