Today's Highlights:

Hurricane conditions have started to reach the southernmost shores of Jamaica and are expected to spread into more of the country later tonight.
• Beryl is forecast to track just south of Jamaica and remain at least a Category 3 hurricane throughout.
On Tuesday Evening speaking at a media conference the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness declared an immediate Island-wide Curfew between the hours of 6am to 6pm on Wednesday 3rd July, 2024 as Hurricane Beryl projected to directly hit the country.

In the most recent incident, three new deaths were recorded in Venezuela.
• Persons are also reportedly missing in Sucre, Venezuela, as Beryl caused heavy rain and flooding along the country's northeastern coast.
• Search and rescue groups were working in Cumanacoa and surrounding areas where some 25,000 people were affected.

An amputee identified as Veront Edwards who was set ablaze near the maxi hub along Manic Street, Chaguanas on Saturday 8th June, 2024, succumbed to his injuries at Mt Hope Hospital on Thursday 13th June, 2024.

A shooting in St Ann’s left a Massy salesman dead and a security guard nursing gunshot injuries earlier on Wednesday 3rd July, 2024.
• The deceased has been identified as Che Mendez while the injured security guard remains unidentified.

The body of a man was found shot to death along the pavement in Dow Village, Couva on Wednesday 3rd July, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Johnathan Ramnath aka “Brandon” of New Settlement, Dow Village, Couva.

A man was shot and killed along George Street in Port-Of-Spain on Wednesday 3rd July, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as Leon King aka Toby from Block #8, John John, Laventille.

The body of a man was found at the bottom of a precipice along the north coast road on Sunday 30th June, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 49-year-old Kendar Waterman of Fishing village, Maracas Bay.

The suspect involved in the stabbing death of her husband, 57-year-old Gary Balgobin, which took place at their home in Ste. Madeleine on Monday 24th June, 2024, has been released from police custody without any charges.
• On Tuesday 2nd July, 2024, the 53-year-old woman was released from police custody pending further inquiries, after receiving instructions from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

CCTV footage captured four men robbing Kimz Electronics along Rodney Road, Endeavour, Chaguanas on Tuesday 2nd July, 2024.
• The suspects then proceeded to relieve the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash which represented the day’s sale and a quantity of electronic items before fleeing the scene in a silver Nissan Versa registered PDH 3614.

While speaking in Parliament on Monday, Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley acted surprised when opposition leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar mentioned his plans for calling an early election.

The House of Representatives in a unanimous vote, passed the Bail (Amendment) Bill 2024, to tighten the conditions of judicial discretion in awarding bail to murder accused and others charged with serious offenses on Monday 1st July, 2024.
•Opposition leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar while speaking in parliament said, “The Opposition will support this bill in the public interest of the people of T&T”.
