VENUZO DAWHUO BECOMES CHAMPION OF THE NWA CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending NWA champion Venuzo Dawhuo retained the Championship title after defeating his opponent Mhasilusie Naga in the final played at Khouchiezie local ground Kohima for the 28th Nagaland Wrestling Championship 2022 on 28th February 2022. Venuzo who represented the Chakesang wrestling Association (CWA) won a cash prize of ₹3 lakh 20 thousand and also won the Lt. Velahu Puro memorial award of ₹30 thousand along with the championship belt and a trophy while Nagi who represented the Angami Wrestling Association (ASA) received ₹ 2 Lakh 20 thousand as the runner up. In the 2nd U-16 wrestling championship, Thuputhal Hesuh emerged as the winner and won ₹ 60thousand while Kuvestuto Kezo, the runner up was awarded ₹ 40 thousand along with certificates respectively
