Using care pathways to build high-performing teams and reduce burnout rates

Published
Effective teamwork has become an essential component of high-quality patient care. And care pathways can help!

In his PhD, Svin Denckere (University of Leuven) investigated the impact of care pathways on interprofessional teamwork. The results were published in the scientific journal ‘Medical Care’' and they're impressive. They showcase that care pathways are an effective and workable intervention to improve teamwork, management of conflicts and organization of care in teams. In addition, care pathways reduce the risk of burnout among caregivers

In this Masterclass, Svin Deneckere will share best practices for, and lessons learned, to build high-performing teams by implementing care pathways.
We'll answer questions such as:

- How do care pathways promote interprofessional teamwork?
- What impact do care pathways have on outcomes (i.e burnout rates, team communication, continuity of care, etc.)?
- How to build high-performing teams using care pathways?
