Understanding and Managing Chronic Pain & its Relationship with Mental Health

Published
Approximately 1 in 5 people in the U.S. will experience chronic pain. Not only is pain itself aversive, but it can bring with it other behavioral health problems and also lead to significant impairment. That is, chronic pain can throw your life off course and get in the way of you living the life you had imagined.

This webinar will define and explain chronic pain and how it differs importantly from more acute pain. Dr. Weisberg will review the common problems that often come along with chronic pain, including anxiety, depression, difficulties with pain medications and other substances, and feeling misunderstood by medical professionals and others in your life. The webinar will then review evidence-based treatments for chronic pain problems and provide resources on where to turn for more information and assistance.

This webinar is intended to serve as an introduction to the issue of chronic pain and a first step towards reclaiming your life.
