Transforming and Finding Equity in Knowledge Management for the International Development Sector

Published
CID Speaker Series presents Bridget Snell, Senior Managing Director of Collaboration and Knowledge at Save the Children USA. Bridget will discuss transforming and finding equity in knowledge management for the international development sector.

After decades of effort to harness the power of knowledge, the international development sector remains a fragmented ecosystem of data and information. The World Bank and UN system led efforts in the 2000s. Today, the private sector and academia are keen to offer solutions for finding out what works and does not work. However, we still need to work on who knows and who has access. This talk will cover our recent history of harnessing knowledge for development and exploring a way forward to leverage the people, processes, and technology needed to make knowledge flow. Efforts to equalize power in a global knowledge exchange are given special attention.
