Ms Sparkle Ferreira, Records Manager, Trinidad and Tobago: Digital Records Management
Ms. Sparkle N. Ferreira is a Cultural Analyst and Records and Information Management Specialist, with over 15 years’ experience. She holds a BA (Hons.) in History ‘Special’ (UWI, St Augustine Campus) and an MPhil in Cultural Studies (UWI, Cave Hill Campus).
She is currently a PhD candidate in Information Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica. Ms. Ferreira's career began in Barbados where she worked with the West Indies Federal Archives Centre (UWI, Cave Hill), processing the personal papers of Sir Shridath Ramphal, former Secretary General of the Commonwealth and Chancellor Emeritus, UWI as well as records management processing project at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society.
Since 2010, Ms. Ferreira’s career focus has been in records and information management and in her doctoral work, is developing her expertise in Digital Records Management and Information Governance.
