Toolbox presents | Lifting operations - What can we learn from past incidents?

Published
Lifting operations can often put people at great risk of injury, as well as incurring great costs when they go wrong. It is therefore important to properly resource, plan, and organise lifting operations so they are carried out in a safe manner. Through Learning from Incidents, organisations gather knowledge about what went wrong in the past – incidents, accidents and near misses. By analysing what happened in the past, drawing conclusions, engaging with the workforce and changing working practices, organisations can effectively prevent future incidents. Our industry speakers will explore the most common hazards associated with lifting operations, and share lessons learned from past incidents.
