What goes through employees' minds when your boss brags about being "old school?"

This type of language from bosses makes people use JOB HOPPING as a strategy and tool. OLD SCHOOL management styles have some value but usually is one-sided. More EMPATHY AND COMPASSION are needed in today's workplace, while an outdated management style in proclaiming "old school" says my way or THE HIGHWAY.
