The #China-U.S. trade relationship has been through ups and downs amid the COVID-19 #pandemic and, more recently, the #Ukraine crisis. Last week, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said there's little progress in negotiations with Beijing. But based on a March survey done by the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the friction has hardly dampened China-U.S. trade. American companies in China make big profits. However, the global economy has been hit by challenges one after another. The Russia-Ukraine conflict has had a further dampening effect on economies worldwide. CGTN's Tian Wei talked to Stephen Roach, a senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute of Global Affairs and a senior lecturer at Yale's School of Management, for more on the topic.
