Global Law firm, DLA Piper, which operates in more than 40 countries, in collaboration with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability leadership, has published a study titled, "The Future of Boards". This research sheds light on over 20 trends that are essential for the future readiness of corporate boards with a particular emphasis on Sustainability and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) issues. Just from a South African point of view, we constantly see governance issues and challenges play out in both public and corporate boards and at a global level, COP 28 in Dubai is grappling with these issues.
