This excellent conversation with Drs. Peter Sorensen and Therese Yaeger from Benedictine University, Lisle, IL, will show how Organization Development (OD) is changing the world with some incredible stories, examples and upcoming opportunities.

Since Kurt Lewin first shared his theory "unfreeze, move, and refreeze," we have been working to develop organizations properly and prepare them for ongoing changes by using a variety of tools and methods. Organization Development has continued to thrive and develop as an interdiscipliary and primary behavioral science approach that draws from such fields as management, business, psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, etc.

In addition to North and South America, Organization Development has continued to expand globally with a heavy presence in Europe, Asia, Australia, and even to Antartica.

Drs. Sorensen and Yaeger will share stories and examples of "hot spots" where OD is having a big impact on wholistic, systemic improvements in organizations - not only in change management initiatives, but creating a culture that celebrates diversity and harnesses inclusion as a key cornerstone of organization values.

Peter Sorensen Jr., Ph.D. is a world-recognized Organization Development (OD) pioneer and department chair at Benedictine University. He is a a distinguished scholar who has helped prepare hundreds of managers and executives to successfully organize and implement change for more than five decades.

Therese Yaeger, Ph.D. is a professor in the Ph.D. in OD and the MSMOB programs at Benedictine University. “Peter is an icon,” said Therese Yaeger, Ph.D., a professor and colleague of Sorensen’s. “He has literally been teaching in this field of study from the beginning of OD and has not only produced a mountain of work on the subject, but has helped launch the careers of a great number of men and women, many of whom are now widely considered among the most influential of OD practitioners. People come to Benedictine from all around the world just to meet and learn from him because his enthusiasm for what he does is so infectious and inspiring.”
