Take Control of Your Data by Integrating HashiCorp Vault

Published
Backup is crucial for data protection. Regular backups save us from inevitable data loss situations due to common events such as system crashes, unavailability, malware infection, hard drive corruption, and other failures.

We needed a secure backup solution we could extend and use regardless of the environment. Our story is meant to serve as a hands-on demonstration of how we leveraged HashiCorp Vault to instrument Kubernetes and Restic as an end-to-end solution. We’ve been impressed by what Vault has to offer and this is the very reason why we want to share how we integrated it more as a capability rather than a tool, while also completing our goal to fortify data during transit and at rest.
