Survivorship Series Session #5 - Managing Cancer Related Fatigue

Published
People with cancer are living longer due to improved care, screening and newer treatments. The term “cancer survivor” identifies a community of people with a history of cancer, either at the time of diagnosis, during or after treatment. The effects of cancer do not end when treatment ends. Starting on Wednesday, July 6, the Cancer Education Center will kick off a free Survivorship Webinar Series to address the needs of cancer survivors.

Staff of the Stephen and Barbara Slaggie Family Cancer Education Center, located in Rochester, Minnesota, present on how to manage cancer-related fatigue. Cancer-Related Fatigue is defined as a persistent feeling of physical, emotional and/or mental tiredness related to cancer and/or its treatment. It is one of the most frequent side effects experienced by patients and can often feel overwhelming. This webinar provides strategies and lifestyle modifications to help manage and lessen feelings of fatigue.
