On 11 and 12 November 2021, SUERF - The European Money and Finance Forum and the Spanish Securities Markets Supervisory Authority CNMV - Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores organised an online conference on Corporate governance, executive compensation and ESG goals.

Irma Martínez, Professor, Universidad de Oviedo, gave a presentation on “Sustainable Development Goals and corporate governance: Evidence from the Spanish market”. Dirk Jenter, Professor, London School of Economics, dealt with “CEO Compensation: Evidence from the field”. Vicente Bermejo, Professor, ESADE Business School, presented research on “How can universal owners influence corporate governance: Expectation documents”. The session was moderated by Helena Viñes, Commissioner at the CNMV.
