On 11 and 12 November 2021, SUERF - The European Money and Finance Forum and the Spanish Securities Markets Supervisory Authority CNMV - Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores organised an online conference on Corporate governance, executive compensation and ESG goals.

Then, María Gutiérrez, Professor, Universidad Carlos III, Madrid, speaks about “When Employees have their Say on Capital Structure: Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment”. Then, Patricia Jackson, Non-Executive Chairman SMBC Nikko Capital Markets; Independent Non-Executive Director, BISL Limited, addresses the issue of “Executive compensation challenges for boards - diversity and incentives”. Finally, Juan Pedro Gómez, Professor, IE Business School, presents research on “Peer v Pure benchmarks in the compensation of mutual fund managers”. The session is moderated by Eudald Canadell Casanova, Director, CNMV.
