Recruiting, hiring, selection, benefits, payroll and a long list of activities which must be correctly and all with a smile. Yet, there is a dire need for HRM to be involved with the highest levels of decision making because of the most critical word in any organization - humans. Humans make the technology run, the machines run, and the organization run - at least so far!
