In this video, we break down today’s successful short trade on the S&P 500, covering each step from entry to final profit target.

The market opened below minor resistance, setting us up for a short entry as price moved up. Traders should have taken their first third of the position and set a scalp target 5 points away. Price quickly reversed, hitting this scalp target and allowing us to lock in partial profits. With stops raised to entry, we set our next two profit targets just before support levels.

As price continued to move lower, it reached our first profit target, where traders should have exited another third of the position. Price then tested our entry level without stopping us out. Finally, the S&P 500 retraced to our last profit target, where traders should have exited the remaining position, securing full profits.

This trade showcases the importance of managing risk, setting clear targets, and adjusting stops to protect gains. Perfect for traders looking to refine their short trading strategy and risk management skills!
