The idea of controlling society’s action through both formal and informal social control mechanism seems stagnant today. The introduction of the world as a global market (globalization) has further complicated the reality of absolute social control of any one given society. Sociologists have identified a link between crime and immigration. They are considered as being on opposite side however working in tandem throughout the Caribbean society. As a result of this amalgamated cultural experience, a diversified globalized culture now exists. Social control seems difficult, as we are all of the understanding that everyone has a right to practice their culture.



According to Farrant (1993), suggest that education could be viewed as leading into a new knowledge and experience. Education is universal. It is used globally to prepare every aspect of society for all stages of development. Education is regarded as the total process of human learning by which knowledge is imparted, faculties trained, and skills developed. It is through schooling that this social change can become a reality. Education is a process which begins at birth. Along with simple socialization comes career options or goals.
