Situational Leadership Model

Published
The Situational Leadership® model is used to select one of four leadership styles. Their model identifies four leadership styles, expanding the Ohio State model so that the user can select the leadership style that matches the situation. To select a leadership style, you determine the followers’ maturity level. “Maturity level” refers to the level of employee development (competence and commitment) or readiness to do the job (ability and willingness).

Hersey has used a baseball metaphor to explain how this model helps managers. The model can help you increase your batting average.
