The world of seized drug identification continues to rapidly evolve and increase in complexity. Rarely do laboratories receive a sample containing only one substance. Being able to identify multiple substances in a sample as well as having a process to identify new substances is important to public health and safety in the fight against drug-related crime.
At NMS Labs, the scope of analysis currently contains approximately 1,100 compounds with new compounds routinely being analyzed. During this webinar, “Seized Drugs: Detecting and Identifying New Compounds, Amanda Andrews, M.S.F.S., ABC-DA, NMS Labs Forensic Continuous Improvement and Technical Manager, explains how these new compounds are identified, validated, and added to the drug database and how these processes support public health and safety.
