Reserve Bank governor ‘blowing holes’ in Labor’s ‘lies’

Published
Sky News host Paul Murray says Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe is “blowing holes” in Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ “lies” that inflation is “spiralling out of control”.

Mr Chalmers said Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s economic credibility was “already tattered” and now it is “completely shredded”.

Mr Lowe, however, said unemployment is low and economic growth is expected to be strong this year.

“The Reserve Bank governor is blowing holes in the lies that the Labor Party are telling,” Mr Murray said.

“The Reserve Bank governor is blowing through the narratives that the media will try and build that this is some sort of wild crisis that we have the second-lowest rates ever in the history of the country.”
