Project Management, Service Management & ISO/IEC 20000-1 | PROMS-G & SM-ITAM SG

Published
Service management (SM) has become more prominent due to the reliance on IT services for virtual meetings, online shopping and much more. Project management and SM are often seen as unrelated with separate teams. If project managers understood more about SM and vice versa, then there would be more co-working leading to improved handover to service from projects and less issues to deal with when new services go live.
This session will cover:
• Why service managers require a level of ability in project management techniques
• What project managers need to understand about services and SM
• Specific requirements in the international standard for SM, ISO/IEC20000-1, for close integration between project and service managers.
Lynda Cooper, project editor of ISO/IEC20000-1 and experienced speaker and consultant, will relate case studies of working with organisations around the world to improve service delivery by working with service and project teams.
