Privacy webinar: The importance of AI governance

The ICO has recently issued a new version of its AI toolkit. Here we describe the toolkit and provide practical tips on how to use it, including addressing such questions as: Who is it for? What does it contain? Does it replace the requirement to carry out a DPIA?

We considered the need for AI governance beyond data protection and the consequences of failure, and practical steps that may be required of your organisation.

The outcome of the UK's consultation on Data Reform is now out. This includes proposals for changes in the regulation of the use of AI technologies and to the accountability framework. We explained what the new UK regime may look like post reform and how this could affect AI privacy compliance for those developing or procuring AI technologies.

Although we focused on UK developments, this was also in interest of a wider audience.
