Post-SONA Discussions on Good Governance, Peace and Security 7/26/2023

Concluding the series of post-State of the Nation Address (SONA) discussions, key government officials present the Marcos Administration’s programs and overall strategies in maintaining 'good governance, peace and security' as the panel discussion resumes at the Hilton Hotel Manila, Pasay City on July 26, 2023.

Serving as panelists are Cabinet Secretaries, Agency Heads of good governance, and members of the Peace and Security Cluster.

The panel discussion covers various topics including the Devolution Transition Plans of the local government units (LGUs), the government's anti-illegal drugs campaign through the 'Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, the protection of sovereign rights and preservation of Philippine territorial integrity, President Marcos Jr's. independent foreign policy, digitization towards e-Governance, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) Modernization Programs, updates on the Bangsamoro Government, and the Anti-Red Tape Authority’s (ARTA) measures to ensure foreign investment pledges and agreements are realized, among others.

The series of Post-SONA panel discussions aims to provide the nation with a comprehensive understanding of the Administration's current initiatives and strategic plans outlined in President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s second SONA. These discussions highlight the Administration's unwavering commitment to promote inclusive growth in all sectors and regions, with the ultimate objective of realizing 'Bagong Pilipinas'.
