Abstract: The Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis is a technique credited to Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s. It was used to evaluate the current state of businesses and propose a future direction. This technique can also be used as a framework for organizing and gathering data and information for professional growth and development. In this interactive presentation, Ashaki Sorrell will help participants reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as it relates to being a Project Management professional. The learning objective is that participants will be able to use the results of the SWOT analysis to create an action plan. This tool will assist with planning and accountability- Planning Tool: Participants will have data about their professional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that can help plan their development goals and strategies. This data can provide a focus, methodical approach for job opportunities, professional development, career planning, training, etc. Accountability Guide: The interactive plan can be shared with a mentor, peer, or leader for accountability. This data goes beyond information but includes strategies to respond to one’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
