Platform Presentation 3 Virtual Conference

Pakistan Biological Safety Association in collaboration with Fogarty International Center (FIC), National Institutes of Health (NIH) US conducted the first virtual Biorisk Conference on June 4 and 5 2021.


It was attended live by 400 participants, with keynote speeches by Dr. Zeba Rasmussen (Senior Research Fellow FIC), Ms. Maureen Ellis (Executive Director, International Federation of Biosafety Associations), Dr. David Spiro (Director, Division of International Epidemiology and Population Studies (DIEPS) at FIC, NIH), Dr. Joshua Rosenthall (Senior Scientist, Division of International Epidemiology and Population Studies (DIEPS) at FIC, NIH), Sean Kaufman (CEO and Founding Partner, Safer Behaviors), Dr. Zabta Shinwari (President National Council for Tib), Dr. Anwar Nasim (Founding Member PBSA), as well as addresses by Dr. Aamer Ikram (Executive Director, National Institutes of Health Pakistan), Dr. Saeed Khan (Professor of Pathology, Dow University of Health Sciences), and Dr. Uzma Bashir (Public Health Consultant, World Health Organization).


Platform Presentations were provided by participants after their abstracts were vetted and approved by PBSA VIrtual Conference Scientific Committee.
