Part 1: Their Future is Now - Transitioning from Childhood to Adulthood

Presented by LASOCB Attorney Katie Pareja, Pro Bono Attorney Chris Tribbey, and Youth Services Manager Jennifer Works, Their Future is Now - Transitioning from Childhood to Adulthood gives an overview of advocating for older youth in the dependency system. The training provides information about the statutory requirements of older youth in care and how to advocate in the courtroom to ensure the requirements are met. It also dives into the role of the Guardian ad Litem Program when it comes to advocating for older youth, both in and out of the courtroom. The training also provides information regarding resources for older youth in care.
