A- [0:00 min – 41:12 min] The role of the private health sector in COVID-19 response: This session explores the level of involvement of the private health sector in COVID-19 response in 10 EMR countries. The session focuses on main forms of collaboration and challenges facing private sector engagement in the context of COVID-19.
B- [41:13 min – 1:49:02 min] The role of the private sector in the provision of essential health services in the EMR: In this session, we discuss the main findings of the assessment on the contribution of the PHS to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH), non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health, communicable diseases (CDs) and immunization, nutrition-specific interventions and emergency care services (ECS).
C- [1:49:02 min – 2:37:17 min] Understanding the Private Health Sector (PHS) in the EMR: In this session, we discuss findings from the general assessment of the PHS in the Region. The assessment covers the operational environment of the private health sector with respect to, available resources, financing, mode of access to services, quality control, regulatory framework, governance, and public-private partnership.
