It is basically the study of the behavior or conduct of the individuals in an organization to improve the effectiveness of the organization.

The demeanor of the people is studied and analyses so that their motivational level, personality, perception etc..improves
Science and Art: It is so because there are certain theories and concepts which are applied which makes it a science and it is called an art because there are various skills which need to be implemented to use the scientific principals.

It is a holistic concept: It is so because every element of behavior is studies in detail.

It has humanistic approach: Since it deals with the human behavior therefore it adopts humanistic approach.

It is applicable in every day life: It is not only for the organizations. It can be applied to make our every day behavior better.
AUTOCRATIC: The manager has a commanding nature. There is intense feeling of domination in the leader.

CUSTODIAL: Here the focus is on Fulfilling the financial needs of the employee. Social security is also given to the customer.
SUPPORTIVE: Here the organization always lands a helping hand to the employee when ever there is a need.

COLLEGIAL: In this model, the leaders and the other employees work in partnership. The subordinates also help in taking crucial decisions.
INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR: The various aspects like attitude, personality, motivation are deeply analyzed.

INTERPERSONAL BEHAVIOR: It includes behavior between two parties or the various groups. Study is on team, group dynamics, transactional analysis etc.
