Starting with a case study from Nick Broadwith - Nick is one of the PASTORAL group members - this webinar was an opportunity to discuss the extreme weather of summer 2022, and how it has effected the grazing systems used across the group.

Vasilis Myrgiotis - University of Edinburgh – gave a short presentation on grassland carbon cycle modelling and the effects of drought.

Iain Cameron - Environment Systems - explained the impact this year’s climatic conditions have had on the accuracy of the PASTORAL platform and the key points to consider going forward with development, from both a practical on-farm and scientific point of view.
