On April 26, 2022, Tasce Bongiovanni, M.D., M.P.P., M.H.S. of the University of California San Francisco spoke about how crucial pain management in the postoperative period is to combating the opioid crisis.
Both quality improvement and embedded projects in a learning health system can tip the scales towards encouraging uptake of multimodal pain medication use both in the hospital and at discharge. During her talk, she addresses the challenges of these approaches.
