Published
Nasty Backpack here, dedicated to outreach in the community to help those who struggling with homelessness and substance abuse. In this video ya will see me teaming up with the best of the best in this field to better serve our community all over AZ. Our Mission has just started and are goal is to inspired our community to give back, Inspired those who are struggling with homelessness and substance abuse disorder to show them there is hope and show that we do recover. I'm an Outreach specialist and a case manager and my goal is to serve our community by providing options for those who are struggling with substance abuse disorder and homelessness. I started as a small youtuber in Phoenix AZ and one day while working my 9 to 5 as a case manager it dawn on me, Why don't I take my Case Management skills to the streets of Phoenix and I did. My first couple days of doing in the street interviews I got a young couple that is experiencing homelessness and substance abuse disorder with fentanyl into treatment with MAT services. I follow up with them a couple months later and am still working with them till this day. Even though they are still experiencing homelessness they know they have options and can call me for advice at any time. Since then I have partner up with several great organizations to help serve the community and bring hope to the community. Alot of people ask why Nasty Backpack or what does your name mean, It’s quite simple. People in our community are judge by appearance, especially those experiencing homelessness and substance abuse issues and due to the community not being educated on why people end up in these positions instead they are quick to judge. I never judge instead I try to understand their situations to we can come up with solutions. So My name is Nasty Backpack because ill go through the trenches to find the resources and solutions for my clients and my peeps know they will never be judge by me and therefore I'm and in their corner to help get to recovery.
