Microsoft Project - Lesson 7: Customizing the Look and Feel of Microsoft Project

Published
This is Lesson 7 of my Microsoft Project hands-on training course. In this lesson I show you how you can modify the out-of-the box look and feel of Microsoft Project to better reflect your own preferences (or those of your boss!). You might also want to change the appearance of the tool to better match organizational standards for presentations and for other documents.

Topics covered in this lesson include:

- Displaying Critical Task and Path Information in the Gantt Chart
- Modifying Bar Styles, and Changing Individual Bar Formats
- Changing Text Appearance for Selected Cells and for Categories of Tasks
- Working with Gridlines
- Using Layout Options
- Displaying and Modifying the Timeline View

For a brief description of each of the 11 lessons that will make up the course as I create and load them, please take a look at the "Course Introduction and Outline" video. Courses covering other versions of Microsoft Project are also in the works.
