Measuring the Impact of Learning Investments

Why is Learning Measurement in an Enterprise Learning Context still such a Mystery? Don’t Learners need to learn How to do their Jobs? Aren’t those jobs about Tasks that create Outputs that are Inputs downstream internally or externally? Don’t Stakeholders have Requirements for Outputs & Tasks?

However… Not all of the Outputs of L&D’s Processes and Practices are worth the Measurement Effort.

Sometimes the Measurement Effort itself could be the Most Significant Expenditure and “Not Worth It.”

Measuring Learning Results and Activities are Business Decisions - and should be made or sanctioned by Enterprise Leadership.
