Mallee Conservation - launch of Raakajlim sanctuary and conservation fence

Celebrating the launch of Mallee Conservation's first sanctuary "Raakajlim".

The 490-hectare conservation property is fully enclosed by a 13-kilometre long conservation fence. This property in the Mallee of north-western Victoria, Australia, protects more than 60 threatened species, including the largest population in the world of the Arid Bronze Azure Butterfly.

Mallee Conservation aims to link community, conservation science and land management skills to protect and restore this diverse semi-arid habitat.
