Curated by SENSE and Geospatial Systems CDTs. In this session, students from the UKRI Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) in Satellite Data in Environmental Science (SENSE) and Geospatial Systems presented the ambitions of their Centres and communicate the ways in which they are using satellites and wider geospatial technologies to monitor and mitigate environmental change. They discussed how space and spatial analysis can help us understand global change in a warming climate, and demonstrated how ubiquitous tools such as Google Earth can help humankind get to grips with the climate crisis.

Featuring: University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, Newcastle University, University of Edinburgh.
