The Electoral Commission has poured cold water over allegations that the Voter Management Devices or VMDs that it's using for the first time in this election slowed down the voting process.
The IEC was briefing the media on Election Day just as voting was due to end at 9 pm.
The VMDs allow for voter registration, instantaneous citizenship verification and the correct capturing of a residential address.
