In this lecture, basic definition of cyber security is highlighted. Then, various types of cyber security attacks are discussed. The percentage possibility of cyber attacks on power utility is presented. Then, various ways of cyber attack on power system networks and various communication network layers are discussed. Finally, the impact of the cyberattack on PMUs is presented with a case study.
