KPMG in Ghana celebrates IA Awareness Month in May 2023

Though it is essential to promote the value of internal audit (IA) throughout the year, the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors encourages this advocacy in particular during the month of May (the International Internal Audit Awareness Month).

International IA Awareness Month is an opportunity for internal auditors around the world to share their unique experiences, provide examples of how they add value to their organisations, and highlight the impact IA has on corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for those in the profession to promote their role to their stakeholders.

This tradition dates back to the 1990s, and various organisations and professionals have annually observed it in diverse ways.

KPMG in Ghana celebrated their maiden one in May 2022. This year's (2023) own was packed with various activities including a launch, visits to some universities, trivial questions/quizzes for KPMG staff and climaxing with a panel discussion on 31 May 2023.
