Katana Can Only Cut Three Times? #Shorts

There are often opinions saying that if a katana was used in real life, it would only be able to cut a few times. But is that true? Let’s ask Seki sensei’s opinion.

However please keep in mind that non of us alive today have actually been in a situation where you use a katana to cut multiple opponents.

If for example your katana got stuck in the enemy’s bone, it might do some damage. However if it just cut through the flesh of the body, it wouldn’t be such a problem.

And even if the blade was heavily damaged from clashing against an enemy’s sword, in the past there used to be stones everywhere that could be used as emergency whetstones.

Again no one knows for sure, but we think it’s fair to say that the samurai wouldn’t have entrusted their lives to a weapon that can only be used three times.
