Kalp Shah discusses developing his analytics, soft, and teamwork skills in the M.S. in Business Analytics & Information Management (BAIM) program. Kalp culminated his experience in the Industry Practicum course where his team was tasked with optimizing an economy hotel chain’s revenue using a combination of predictive and prescriptive analytics. This submission was a finalist for the MS BAIM program’s Future Edelman Impact Award, which is awarded to the project team that delivered an empirically impactful analytical solution that can be understood to a broad audience.
