Job Title: Quality, Standards and Policy Development Manager
Location: Reach Deaf Services
Contract duration: Permanent
Reports to: Head of Adult Services and Head of Care
Salary: €50,000


Reach Deaf Services provides services to the Deaf Community, including a supported living service, and a boarding campus for Deaf children attending the Holy Family School for the Deaf.
A Quality Standards & Policy Development Manager is being recruited in a full time permanent capacity. The role will lead the development and implementation of standards and policies of support in relation to statutory requirements, professional codes of conduct and Reach Deaf Services policies and procedures.
The Quality Standards & Policy Development Manager will have a strong focus on developing operational policies and procedures in compliance with current legislation, with an emphasis on the delivery of social care to people living in the supported living service and the boarding campus for Deaf Children.

Below are the main areas of responsibility;

Quality and Standards
• Ensure agreed standards of care are practised in relation to statutory requirements, professional codes of conduct and Reach Deaf Services policies and procedures
• Oversee the completion of any accreditation or audits needed to ensure standards and quality of care are maintained
• Recommend continuous improvements of standards in line with legislation, regulations and best practice

Policy development
• Monitor legislation and policy development on a national and international level with relevance to the work of Reach Deaf Services
• Review all policies and support plans to ensure requirements under HIQA and other relevant guidelines are met
• Develop a policy/document management system
• Ensure policies are streamlined across the organisation
