‘How well are protected areas managed? An easy, in-depth, and shared analysis with the Integrated Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (IMET)’ - At the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, experts discuss the the Integrated Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (IMET).
IMET is a Protected Area Management Effectiveness (PAME) tool that allows an in-depth assessment of marine and terrestrial protected areas, regardless of their management categories and governance type. IMET supports protected area managers' decision making based on thorough and shared analysis to improve conservation outcomes. IMET facilitates and structures the information to be collected, stores it in a database, interprets it statistically and visualises it to facilitate partial or global analysis and evaluation of protected area management elements.
