Is Evernote in decline since 2015? Management team left, users are angry and no innovation

Published
Hi everyone! I have been a long time user of Evernote (since October 2014) but I have noticed a constant decrease in quality and a lack of user-focused improvements. You know that I think the user experience is quite important so I had to take a look at what's going on. And it doesn't look good.

The company appears to be in decline since 2015 and even though the pandemic should have been a godsend (i.e. because of remote work), Evernote only managed to antagonize its userbase more. Will they survive? Will they thrive?

And here are some summaries:

- Evernote: A notetaking app founded in 2000 and reached a $1.7B valuation at its height in 2015. Seeing a slow decline since then while still being one of the primarily used note-taking apps.
- Ian Small: The current CEO of Evernote who joined in 2018.
