Introduction to Evaluation and Management by AMCI

Evaluation and Management (E/M) are visits by a Dr./PHP or patient visits to the provider. In this discussion, we will learn how to code office visits and prolonged services. In this discussion, we will learn how to select the level of service based upon total time and medical decision making (MDM). Our discussion on MDM will review the AMCI PDR chart:
- Problems: How the number and complexity of problems impacts the level of service
- Data: How to review the data complexity the impact on the level of service
- Risk: How to determine the level of risk based on treatment options and the impact on the level of service.

Finally, you will obtain useful tips on selecting the most appropriate level of service.
